Dear sisters ♥

Some mistakes Muslimat do during Ramadan

Here are some mistakes women do in Ramdhan so try to avoid them:
*wasting the majority of her time in Ramadhan in kitchen preparing different kind of dishes to the family.
But the Muslimah should know that she has to exploit her time well in the Month of Mercy and not exaggerate in preparing food forgetting about the real purpose of fasting. After all, Ramadhan is not an eating contest but it is the Month of ‘Ibadah.
*giving up collecting Hasanat in the time of period : during menstruation, the Muslimah may become lazy and loses her enthusiasm to get closer to Allah in this blessed Month. But she must now that during her period, she may do a lot of ‘Ibadat (acts of worship) like : reciting Dhikr, preparing Suhur and Iftar for the entire family, giving sadaqah, increasing her Islamic knowledge by reading explanation of Qur’an, making Da’wah on the net…
*leaving fasting when menstruation ends minutes before Fajr time : if menstruation ends then the Muslimah has to make ghusl before the Adhan of Fajr so that she can go back to fasting Ramadhan but sometimes her period ends minutes before Fajr and when she doesn’t find time to do ghusl, she doesn’t fast that day; and this is wrong! Because she has to fast that day even if she makes ghusl after Fajr (but of course that day doesn’t count and she must fast it again after Ramadhan)
* wasting her time in watching TV : Ramadhan is a precious opportunity which comes once a year to get closer to Allah, it is a month of ‘Ibadah : for reciting Qur’an, praying Nawafil, praying Tarawih, performing night prayers, remembering Allah, etc… so she should not waste her time in watching TV especially if what she is watching doesn’t please Allah (movies, series, video clips…)
*going to pray Tarawih at the Masjid wearing ornamented ‘Ibaya and putting perfume : even though prophet Mohammad (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam) said:“Any woman who has scented herself with bakhoor (incense), let her not attend ‘Ishaa’ prayers with us.”
*mixing with men after finishing Tarawih and going out from the Masid : which may cause Fitnah to men
The Prophet (sallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said to women on his way out of the mosque when he saw men and women mixing together on their way home:
“Give way (i.e., walk to the sides) as it is not appropriate for you to walk in the middle the road.’ Thereafter, women would walk so close to the wall that their dresses would get caught on it.” (Abu Dawood)
*wasting the last 10 days of Ramadhan in preparing for Eid: some Muslimat start to prepare for Eid in the last days of Ramadhan while these days are the most important and precious ones in the whole Month! Prophet Mohammad (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam) used to strive hard (in worship) during the last ten days of Ramadaan in a way that he did not strive at any other times. So it is better for the Muslimah to prepare for Eid before Ramadhan.

May Allah guide us all to fast Ramadhan the way it pleases HIM, ameen ♥
