Tipu Sultan Mosque, (Dhurrumtollah or Ghulam Muhammad Mosque), Kolkata (India) is at the junction of Dhurrumtollah Street and Esplanade area. The mosque was built by Prince Ghulam Muhammad, 11th and the youngest son of Tipu Sultan. Mosque opened in 1842, design is a mixture of both Islamic and European style.
After an unsuccessful revolt by Tipu Sultan’s sons in Mysore whole family was moved to Calcutta (Kolkata), capital of British India.
